Preparation

The peanuts, yellow pepper, corn flour, garlic and coriander are blended with enough water. Heat the oil in a pot and fry the chicken pieces, seasoning them with salt until golden brown, then add the onion and keep frying until transparent.

Add the peanut smoothie with the rest of the water and continue cooking, stirring from time to time so that it does not stick, until the hen is tender, if it dries add more water.

Serve with pieces of yucca or parboiled ripe plantain.

  • a hen with prey
  • ten or twelve cups of water
  • two tablespoons of soft yellow corn
  • a cup of raw peanuts
  • a yellow pepper
  • 1/2 cup chopped cilantro (xilantro)
  • two tablespoons of oil
  • a tablespoon of ground garlic
  • a chopped onion
  • salt to taste
