chop the onion into a bowl.
add a little olive oil and a little salt.
mix everything with your hands.
with a piece of corn bread dough, already leavened, depending on the amount of balls you want to make, add the mixture to the dough and place the sardines in the middle.
tent and place in the wood oven.
lightly beat the top of the ball with the oven paddle and let it cook.
when it is cooked, remove it from the oven and serve hot.
note: It is customary to make the sardine ball when the bread is baked.
