Preparation
1. Season the steaks with white wine, chopped garlic, bay leaves, pepper and salt.
2. Heat the oil in a frying pan. Fry the ham slices over medium-low heat. When they are lightly browned place them on a plate and set aside.
3. Place the steaks in the pan with the marinade and fry on both sides over medium-low heat.
For rice:
4. In a pan, place the oil, the chopped garlic, and cook it on a low heat for about two to three minutes. Add the rice together with the margarine and a little salt, stir with a wooden spoon and let the rice fry in olive oil for about a minute. Pour the water (twice the volume of the rice), stir, bring to a boil and bake for about ten minutes.
5. Place a slice of ham on top of each steak, garnish with chopped parsley, drizzle with a little sauce and serve with the rice.
