Preparation

Melt the butter in a saucepan over moderate heat, add the chives and stir for a minute. add the flour and stir over low heat for 1 minute. add the milk little by little, stirring until the sauce boils and thickens. lower the heat and cook for another minute, stirring. remove from heat and add the grated cheese. pour the sauce over the oysters and sprinkle with the breadcrumbs. Cook the oysters under the grill over high heat for 2 minutes.

  • 20 gr. of butter,
  • 1 tablespoon chives,
  • 2 tablespoons of flour,
  • 1/2 cup of milk,
  • 2 tablespoons grated cheese (cheddar),
  • 24 open oysters,
  • 1/3 cup of breadcrumbs.
